I had a poem i wanted to say/
Lost to my mind a minute this day /
My mind a travel /
A poem i can't unravel /
The mind a mystery /
Just look at History /
look at the bird in flight /
He may be the only right /
Fly fly my little frien /
In order for you to fly again /
Mother , Father i have thoughts of you /
A love of black and blue /
As i look at the sky /
A eagle flys by /
Thoughts of love will never die /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
