World a mess /
At best /
Every land , every place /
Hate retraced /
Every body is mad /
Where the hell is a real dad /
Hungry for power /
Hour after hour /
Not enough honey /
bee's not making honey /
Where is the real mommies /
No food in children's tummies /
Pockets been picked /
Tricky Dick /
yet no one gets it /
Lost but not forgotten /
Teeth all rotten /
Wheres a real dentist /
Forgotten

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
