Love transcends death /
Rather it be me or you /
Traveling trough minds /
This death's unopened door to find /
Tears to shed /
Warmth in a empty bed /
Eyes open you no longer see /
close your eye's to be with me /
Nothing left behind /
But the beating of two hearts to find /
In trusted to our two minds /
as our minds in twine /
To feel your touch /
your tender whispers /
Never to be parted /
Only to await /
Till the day you join me /
In God's great escape /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
