Mankind but thunder /
Man made blunder /
Banging each other /
In violence we trust /
15 yr.old stabs teen to death /
Over video game takes his breath /
A game of whores /
Closing doors /
Bringing on lighting and floods /
Destroying Love's /
Lack of morals /
Insanity prevails /
No longer in God we trust /
Entertainment turned that to rust /
For what do you lust /
That of life's bust /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
