I did this poem to a female art work of a closed door , Her husband a well know artist too . But as i look at my work more i see more closed doors and a some what different points of view . Does this closed door some how apply to you , and just who has the right to open it , me you or only her . i wish i had a picture of her art work it was quite good and mystical . read it again and again and see what i see ...

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
