Mountain peeks to sky /
Dimes at my feet /
Deposit bottles to seek /
Pot of gold /
Paper money to fold /

Stuck , watching gang bangers repeat /
looking for home /
Earned no bones /
Nor cell phone /
Daddy , daddy ice cream cone /
Rats , thugs murderous bugs /
911 a number to play /
Beer store day /
Hanging the corner ,Jack Jill And a foreigner /
Pills weed ,chap thrills /
Legs open mind broken /
Rainbows lost /
All American cost ///

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
