I wish the world to go away /
Alone in the star filled night /
I wish to say, i love you my mother /
Earth you give me day /
violence erupts on every corner /
what ever happened to young Jack Horner /
what Jack and Jill bombed going up that hill /
Casper no longer a friendly ghost /
Holly Smoke , another bomb drops /
Another village chokes /
weeds now you tote /
Life no joke / VOTE

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
