A piece of apple pie /
freedoms call , but not all /
Rat biten , flys and all /
Not to show , their call /
Cut the bad pieces pic /
Let me show you the rest of it /
The product of greed /
Yes , yes , yes indeed /
Your car is rust /
Your health a bust /
But it is the money we lust /
never mind the apple pie /
Never mind the big fat lie /
I see the light /
The pop , pop , pop of a gun /
Time to run /
Apple pie is of no fun /
Witches traded in their broom sticks /
For bombs with no wick /
There is no apple pie /
Not here , there or anywhere /
Just a man and women busting their ass /
Ending up with no cash /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
