Syria a place to flee /
Ghetto acting they be /
100's dying every day /
Rebellion they play /
1/4 million fled they say /
Children tortured yesterday /
Used as human shields /
The Romans in the field /
Istanbul , where Bogart played /
Play it again Sam betrayed /
Graves be laid /
women raped and made /
A hospital one stood /
Looks like the Detroit hood /
Are you not shamed /
Or yet no name /
Plain insane
Here comes Mr. Pause /
Really no cause /
Ma , ma did you see my ma ma........

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
