Mother who gives me wind /
Father who gives me sun /
Others who give me light /
God who gives me right /
Devil who gives me sin /
Who will win /
Gold of lust /
Women of trust /
Culture turned to rust /
bullets turned to tears /
Love one's lay dead near /
Lies with out cries /
No longer in God we trust /
governments a bust /
But who to trust /
Like elephants killed for tusks /
Man hates man /
Kick the can /
Playing that race game /
Always the same /
Sex only sex /
Climax a test /
Ma ma can dance /
Daddy rolls Rocks /
Who will win /
No one /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
