The cave man has never died /
Just put on clothes to better hide /
No longer riding on a Dinosaur's back /
He now drives a Cadillac /
He still does not shave his head /
Nor bathe when he goes to bed /
Got rid of the club /
shoots you instead /
Old now but still /
Rape's at will /
Hell ya gots
That Viagra pill /
Times have changed
But still the same /
All still insane /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
