Hard life for a father /
Who hears his childs tears /
The sum total of his fears /
Empty pockets , empty dreams /
Bed time inner screams /
No nickles and dimes for ice creams /
Eye's over flowing /
Watching his children growing /
Thunder storms of life /
Bullets and bombs the stars of the sky /
Power power lies /
Do they know what freedom is /
hell no they never asked the kids /
But father father /
But for a drink of water ///////
This for you who understand those of all lands.....

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
