Why does a city act Formal /
Fact is not close to Normal /
Nobody here to dance /
Hands up give it up watch and pants /
Child on his walk to school /
give it up coat and shoes /
No 911 just the blues /
Abandoned home hanging with fools /
Nickle weed bags on the way /
hey , hey little one what you say /
no need for school today /
Get high and play /
We back to the cave man day /
So why you acting formal /
Hell you Abnormal /
Longing for yesterday /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
