Money thoughts of you make me smile /
Hell you don't even last a little while /
I search my pockets ,you i can't find /
A little deeper I find a dime /
But what can i buy /
Something , Would be a Lie /
Maybe I can save a few more /
Oh NO ! What happen to the Five and Ten cent store /
that was 1959 /
A dime was a dime /
Looking back in time /
What happen to all that /
Must have been that Black Cat /
Crossing my bicycle path /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
