sifting trough dreams /
uncomplicated desires /
Catch a falling star /
Long time coming , much to far /
A poor boy named Slim shady /
Now a man with all the gravy /
No long lines /
Just long dimes /
Earth encrusted in crimes /
walking trough slime /
Hell all the time /
Yesterday , today , tomorrow /
Kitchen table sorrow , sorrow , sorrow /
Matters not , this talk on others /
They are not sisters and brothers /
No not of color of skin /
Not of blood with in /
The human race is your kin /
Sifting trough dreams /
Means what it means /
Movement in time /
With or with out the dimes /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
