One had a gun /
One had none /
One would walk away /
One would stay /
Two mothers would weep /
One a funeral parlor she would seek /
The other her son visible trough bars /
As she took a peek /
WHO WON /
NO ONE /

A poem i have done many times , many years back of i believe 13 year old Nathanial Abraham severed his time for this murder released at 19 only to be in trouble again , We only capture and release but the fish swims the wrong way again ...

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
