Who is the winner /
Of this land /
The dead man with in /
Out here by man /
Many killed by unjust /
Society a bust /
The breast of earth /
Dead intrust /
We failed our fellow man /
This game of war /
You are all the whore /
Children play kick the can /
Minds out of order /
Dropping bombs /
Reasons for babies cry /
Mothers look to the sky Why why why /
We are not all the same /
No matter what country /
Don't put me in that game /
I will not wear the hatred name /
They make us all out to be /
What we are not you see /
Some same in thought /
Others money and madness bought /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
