A mind not empty , a home /
Life worth living /
Streets unforgiving /
A person , place , thing /
Not of all bling /
Words to learn /
Homes burn /
A poem is Sadness , happiness /
And yes gladness /
A jack in the box /
A surprise /
See the jack ass cries /
Elephants fly /
Dinosaurs talk /
Never left , took a walk /
A poem is of caves /
Yet too many graves /
Not two faced /
A truth well placed /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
