I had a poem /
i was about to write /
Walked into my son's room /
Oh my jack asses what a sight /
Lamp up side down /
Mattress up on the wall /
damn humpty dumbty had a great fall /
Candy wrappers on the floor /
Ants coming in from out of state /
Vacation land for bugs no debate /
Son get out from under the box spring /
Its time to clean /
Bird cage is open ,bird flying around /
Droppings abound /
Oh no your rabbits out dropping turds /
Like handgernades i shout /
Just another day in the life of Michael B and Me

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
