A village once a beautiful place /
now a built into a city /
A man made disgrace /
No place for humans to dwell /
Too much industrial smell /
Don't you hear the whistle blowing /
Playing dumb not knowing /
Mankind has come to far /
Not aware of the beauty of that distant star /
I feel the winds of change /
What remains ,good or bad /
stand by moms and dads /
Be aware of these passing fads /
they are changing the life's we had /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
