A matter of thought /
A tale you bought /
Falsehood of life /
matters not Dad or Wife /
A lie be told /
Spitting from your mouth so bold /
He said , she said ,lost to who said what /
A bottomless pit of mud and shit /
Who did what and when /
Where did that lie began /
Who did who , me or you /
Who started it all /
Romance , romance ,dirty dance /
Why not walk away /
Did not happen anyways /
Someone must fall /
Last lie call /
Sticks and stones brake my bones /
But blurted words hurt every way /
Rather yesterday or today /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
