What is it we look back to see /
The past as it used to be /
The future here /
I too do fear /
Today we look at the glass /
No content to pass /
Nothing to learn from facade /
a parade man made /
She is fine as wine /
but not of summer time /
She is cooking and scheming /
You , you are day dreaming /
With Adam and Eve this all began /
The downfall of man /
But buyer beware /
There are good ones out there /

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
