A poem what does it say /
Truth in someones day /
It's up to you to see /
Of others life that be /
We are not living the same /
For many a ruthless game /
Too many tears to be shed /
Governments badly led /
No food on the table /
No Betty Gable /
Not even a glass of water /
No mother or father /
Just a poem resting in my head /
Only to be gone when I'm dead /.......

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
