Say what do you call it Democracy /
Or is it more Hypocrisy /
More like fiction and fake /
World wide shake and bake /
Freedom turned to freedom /
Everyone running away /
Oh but from what /
The front end of a mack truck /
what of all this blood flowing in Afghanistan /
Is not the blood of human man /
what of the children's hunger in far away lands /
Why do you not help them if you can /
Facade man made /
Early graves at early ages /
A empty pork and bean can .......

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
