A web site lost in time /
yet cost not a dime /
they rather play kick the can /
A facade called Disney Land /
what is it the politician said /
Wow nothing he did /
Why can't they just say US first /
Know not of our thirst /
Not a land of glory /
A blood filled story /
Filled with ifs and buts /
Still stuck in ruts /
No guts , just votes /
Pipe tots resin stems /
Long ago this began /
World really flat /
A beer fresh out the tap /
A vote no longer to set you free /
a bird high in the tree /
underneath you stand
Like that vote it just pooped on thee /
Is there really a Santa Clause /
Do rain deers fly /
If so , Why not I

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
