Everyday My Madness Grows

13 year old using and selling drugs
At the age of ten is when this begin

MY MADNESS GROWS

How many crack babies were born today
Wires from head to toe
Addicted to drugs, before they leave the womb
Their mothers crack head holes

MY MADNESS GROWS

Children killed in drive by shootings
Fire bombed houses
Beaten to death
A angry adult

MY MADNESS GROWS

How many friends did you bury last year
The year before, and the year before that
How many will be murdered this year
That's what I fear

MY MADNESS GROWS

World class city is what they tote
Damn they too must be smoking dope
Look around the ghetto is still there
Drug houses from block to block
No one to trust, they don't see the rest of us

MY MADNESS GROWS

DEMOCRACY, DEMOCRACY, DEMOCRACY
FUCK THEM
HYPOCRISY, HYPOCRISY, HYPOCRISY

I don't care about your color of skin
If you're as poor as me
You're the same color I am

MY MADNESS GROWS

Sick as a man, woman, or child can be
No money no doctor to see
Medical coverage not available to all
We are but patched up inner tubes put back on the street
Damn isn't this democracy neat

MY MADNESS GROWS

But know I have you my friends
I expel my anger
Knowing you understand
Easing my pain till I leave this room
I need not explain
I give you my love one and all
Because in this room we all stand tall
The blood from our bodies turned to ink
Our hearts telling our life story
There are no liars here
People may not understand what we have to say
But damn I'm glad I came today

MY LOVE GROWS
