They funnel their energy
Through violent abuse
Abstracted from meaning, their life is abstruse
They rule their domain by mobocracy
Educated by the streets of hypocrisy
Not knowing their life is in despair
No remembrance of anyone to care
Their life is headed nowhere

- Poetry, what is it? A poet what is that? I doubt its me ! To me poetry is a word description of life. No matter a good or bad life only the truth of life. A poet can only truly describe a life he lives or has lived. One can not write about drug addiction, gangs, violence, and despair if he or she has not dwelled there. I write things I feel because I have been there, done that and know what many people feel because I feel it. What effects the young today effected the old yesterday. Nothing really has changed when it comes to poverty. I write about black and white issues because I feel neither black nor white, because I refuse to wear color of skin. I write about the young because I never grew up. I write about the old because the years added up.
